I am a teacher from Yorkshire dedicated to improving standards in my classroom & across the curriculum through focus on fundamental skills. I’m currently working as Advisory Teacher of ICT for the government of St Helena, an island in the South Atlantic Ocean. As part of my role here on the island I’m leading a review of the ICT curriculum from Key Stage 1 to 5, and writing a programme of training for trainee teachers. I’m interested in new technologies; specifically their impact on education and the wider world. I’m about to start my PhD in education at Huddersfield University. My undergrad dissertation examined the effect of ICT on literacy & critical thought, and is available for download here.
I have published two textbooks (1, 2) aimed at primary school ICT, and am in the process of gathering together resources I created this year to share with the online community – these will be posted on this website as and when they are uploaded.
