I am a teacher from Yorkshire dedicated to improving standards in my classroom & across the curriculum through focus on fundamental skills. I’m currently working as an Advisory Teacher of ICT for the government of St Helena, an island in the South Atlantic Ocean. As part of my role here on the island I’m leading a review of the ICT curriculum from Key Stage 1 to 5 and writing a programme of training for trainee teachers. In August 2013 I will be moving to Taipei European School.

I’m interested in new technologies; specifically their impact on education and the wider world. My undergrad dissertation examined the effect of ICT on literacy & critical thought, and is available for download here. I am currently studying for my MA in education at Durham University.

I have published two textbooks (1, 2) focusing on primary school ICT, and aim to continue sharing resources with fellow teachers online.
